July News

Welcome to the July spotlight from
Park Road Jewellery

I hope you are keeping safe and well!
Here in the workshop it has been business as usual, which I am so grateful for, thank you for keeping me busy!
June kept me busy with some bespoke projects, which have been really interesting to make, some of which I can share now, others I cant wait to share with you next month.

From the workshop

One of the most recent bespoke projects I have completed was a ‘Bespoke Mountain Pendant’ I create a simple ring style pendant with your preferred mountain outline enclosed inside. You can also have it personalized with a date, time or the mountain height around the edge of the pendant.

The below piece is the north face of The Eiger mountain in Switzerland. A truly stunning peak, which held special memories for the client.

This piece is totally one of a kind and handcrafted form Sterling Silver.

Welcome to Summer! Learn about our Sustainable jewellery business.

A warm welcome to all the new readers and thank you so much for liking my Facebook page.
Also a huge thank you to my longtime readers. Your support is so appreciated and valued, you keep my one woman business busy!

What is happening this month?

Well along with everyone one else, not too much! The workshop is being kept busy by some bespoke commissions and orders, which is great! This quieter time is also giving me the opportunity to work on my website some more and create some new designs.
I do hope you are all keeping safe and well and not going too stir crazy.
Here are some ordinary and bizarre calendar events that are happening this month that you could maybe enjoy celebrating!

June 4th – Hug your cat day!
June 4th – Cheese day – ( in our household this happens everyday!)
June 8th – World Ocean Day
June 21st – Fathers Day

From the Workshop

Unfortunately as everyone else is experiencing, All the summer events have been cancelled. This is so devastating for all the of the venues and sole traders. Plus, its just such a shame not be getting out and about with Park Road and seeing you all in person!

Two events which would have been happening over the next few months would have been; a collaborative Worlds Ocean Day weekend, and Waddesdon Manor Summer Fest.

World Ocean Day weekend is an exhibition where i was invited to show my jewellery alongside two incredibly talented artists;
Joe Little and Robin Souter.
They both create stunning seascape works of art, and are passionate about ocean clean up and the education of future generations.

When I exhibited with them last year I was so moved, it was the influence that started me supporting the Mission Blue charity lead by Dr Sylvia Earle.

With every purchase from the ‘Love the Ocean’ Collection, 15% is donated to Mission Blue. By purchasing the jewellery you are not only supporting a small business but also a worldwide ocean charity, so a big thank you to you all!

It is such a shame to be missing these events, but it makes me look forward to them even more next year!

‘Mission Blue inspires action to explore and protect the ocean. Led by legendary oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earle, Mission Blue is uniting a global coalition to inspire an upwelling of public awareness, access and support for a worldwide network of marine protected areas – Hope Spots.’

News from the Workshop

Hello and a warm welcome!

I have been a busy bee this month, even though April has felt like four months in one and only a week long all at the same time.

The workshop is still up and running! I have been creating new pieces and fulfilling orders. I am careful to package orders in a clean and careful way to be as safe as possible. If you have any questions about my processes, please don’t hesitate to ask via email.

I hope that you are keeping well, and look forward to seeing you at events in the future when this is all over!

From the Workshop…
Peak Jewellery is in the Press!

It has been a super exciting month as Peak Jewellery had a small feature in Trail Magazines annual Gear Guide.
I was contacted by the magazine as my jewellery had been spotted on Instagram. I was over the moon to be recognized as a brand that they would want to feature!

My Three Peak Challenge Pendant was featured in the Gear Guide, and also a part of a competition to win a host of Mountain equipment. You can see the features below.

Peak Jewellery features at #8.
The 3 peak challenge pendant represents the 24hr race to climb the highest peak in Scotland, England and Wales.
Each peak silhouette is depicted and the height of the mountains are embossed around the pendants edge.

15% of each purchase is donated to Mountain Rescue.

Social distance gifting

I am here to help!

I am still making and manufacturing, whilst safely observing the governments guidelines.
I am so lucky that my workshop is situated at the bottom of my garden, my general lifestyle has not changed as much and seems to be scarily similar to this new ‘Lockdown Life.’

If you know someone that is celebrating a birthday or occasion whilst we are complying to ‘Staying at home’ and would like to treat them special to a gift, I can help!

Recently I have fulfilled orders direct to the giftee.
This has included;
-Gift Wrapping
-Handwritten notes with your wording
-Direct sending to your recipient
-I have even written on the parcel “Not to be opened until…”
This is all a part of the personal service I wish to supply to my cherished customers!
Email me to discuss any ideas or questions you may have to create the perfect gift.

Springtime Inspirations

Firstly I wanted to say an enormous

THANK YOU!

I have received such a huge amount of support from everyone during this unusual time that we are all experiencing.
Wonderful orders for necklaces and earrings, great feedback and lots of interactions on my social media.
Every single one of these things has helped keep my handmade business going.
With two of the biggest events of the year that I sell my jewellery at getting cancelled, I really did worry, but we will get through this!
Thanks again – Michelle

Hot off the workbench!

I have been really inspired this Springtime, by the luxury of my walks with my loyal work hound Jasper.
The Willow trees are starting to burst to life and nature all around is busy. I wanted to encapsulate this feeling of joy and a select few of my favorite creatures.

Before my local nature reserve was temporarily closed, I had the most amazing experience of watching an otter hunting for fish, just meters from me.
Watching the otter hunt so carefree was utterly beautiful, the way the reeds and rushes framed her, formed my new range.
I was also lucky to see her again just a few days later!

So these are the first Bird Necklace from my new range
(otter pieces coming soon!)

Waking from winter hibernation

Park road Jewellery, Handcrafted bespoke platinum diamond wedding and engagement rings

Welcome to 2020!

After a small time in hibernation recovering from the incredible Christmas period, I am back into action and creating jewellery again.
A huge thank you to everyone that had; made a purchase, ordered a bespoke piece, visited my website or event and for being a Park Road Jewellery VIP. It means so much to have your support for this one woman business.

2019 was an incredible year for Park Road Jewellery, so I cannot wait to see what this year has in store.

Bespoke projects

Here are a few pieces I made for customers before Christmas.

Park Road Jewellery, Bespoke Handmade Sterling Silver Graduated Star Necklace

This Sterling Silver Star Necklace was a bespoke request from my website. The customer had seen someone wearing a complete star necklace, but could not find one anywhere that she liked.
We discussed exactly what style and size she wanted before I made this piece. Every single star is hand cut from silver sheet and connected by welded rings.

“Michelle made me an amazing necklace to order with stars all the way around. She did an amazing job and it looks beautiful. If you want something that stands out, I recommend you ask her to create something special for you.”

Park Road Jewellery, Bespoke Handmade Sterling Silver Dog Greyhound Pet Necklace Jewellery

This necklace was a really fun piece to make, as it was based on a customers pet Lurcher dog. After seeing a few images of the ladies dog, I could really add the personal touches such as; the little tip to the tail, larger ears and nose. It was important to her that it was reminiscent of her dog and not just a general Lurcher outline.

Do you have a design you would like made into a piece of jewellery?

Whether it is a necklace, ring, or transforming heirloom jewellery into something new, get in touch today!

I will work through the entire design process with you including sketches and/or computer rendered images. Have your unused jewellery melted down and reformed into a fresh modern statement piece.

Why not browse the Bespoke Page for inspiration?
